Brief History....
Over 1500 years ago, Polynesians arrived in Hawai'i after navigating the ocean using only the stars.
In 1778, Captain James Cook arrives on Kaua'i, his stay was brief as battles ensued.
While there was death, their was life. The first sugar plantation opened on Kaua'i.
Moving on to 1898 when Hawaii becomes annexed by the United States. It wouldn't become an official state until 1959. And history continues with the attack on Pearl Harbor. One of the many sites that are a must visit when touring Oahu. I did say this was a brief history overview. There is so much Hawaiian history that I invite you to discover the history for yourself with your feet in the Hawaiian sands!
