5 places to check out in the States!

These are 5 places to visit in the United States! These are not in any order or all inclusive. There is so much to visit within the United States and I have CLEARLY not been to all of them. Be your own explorer.... go to places that are off the beaten path as well as those paths more traveled. Go for the food, the history, the fun in the sun. Whatever your reason for visiting anywhere, make it memorable!

1) Go West! Anywhere west! There are many options when traveling west. One of my favorite sites: Shoshone Falls, Idaho!

Located in Twin Falls, Idaho, this natural attraction is part of the Snake River. The small fee to enter this park and view the falls is worth it! The falls drop 212 feet and approximately 900 feet wide. I have visited the falls in August 2017 however it is recommended to visit between April and July to see the best flow.

2) While heading to Shoshone Falls, Idaho - go through Yellowstone National Park. Drive your car through the herds of buffalo and the many bodies of water. Yes and Old Faithful! Get to Old Faithful early to grab a front row seat while you wait in anticipation for its explosion.

3) HAWAII - All of it!

I have a deep love of the Big Island (island of Hawaii). Visit the Volcanoes National Park. Walk on the hardened lava and see the current lava flow into the ocean. Maui for the awesome beaches and city life. Oahu for Pearl Harbor and Polynesian Cultural Center. OH and the food! Please go enjoy a luau!

4) Florida & California- Yes of course Disney but also Universal Studios with Harry Potter. NASA (Florida) and beaches a little closer to most people homes than Hawaii.

5) Lastly, Washington DC. For any history buff, this is the place to go! I highly recommend Ford's Theater where our dear President Lincoln was shot. To the Vietnam Wall, Holocaust Museum, the White House, Washington Monument and more and more and more! One of my favorite monuments is the Korean War Veterans Memorial. My dad is a veteran that was stationed in South Korea and the memorial gives you a small glimpse of what it must have been like walking in that country.
